We would like to thank everyone who assisted us in any way in the storm restoration process. The patience and understanding from the customers of the Crofton, Fordyce, Wynot areas and all those in between was greatly appreciated. All residential services have been restored with the exception of the ones that first need electrician work before we can energize them. If you have a service without power and are unsure why, please call us at 402-254-6291 or 800-891-5196.

Lastly, we want to thank the dedicated employees of CKPPD who worked tirelessly to get power restored in a timely and safe manner. We appreciate everything they do!

Power to the City of Crofton has been restored with the exception of the services that need an electrician to make repairs before we can energize them. We do have a few rural residential services that will remain off overnight and we will work on those services tomorrow morning. If you are still out of power, and unsure why, please give us a call at 402-254-6291 or 800-591-5196. Once again, thank you for your cooperation and patience.

4:30PM Update
Crews have made large gains so far today and we are very close to energizing parts of the town of Crofton. We are hopeful to have the large majority of town back on, with exception to those that need electrician work completed yet, or on the east edge of town on East 4th street that still has significant damage we hope to get too. The rural areas are also getting close to having all but a few residential services restored or have been notified already. We will continue to work this evening to restore power and will give further updates as evening progresses.

Good Morning. Following the storm, we had over 4,000 outages and the crews now have that down to around 750 without power this morning. The majority of that is in the town of Crofton and northern part of our District. Please STAY AWAY from any downed power lines and report them to 402-254-6291 or 800-891-5196. DO NOT clear away trees and branches if there are lines down nearby. Thank you for your patience and be safe.

11:45 p.m. Update: We have accomplished getting our sub-transmission lines back on feeding our substations, but we are still assessing distribution damage across the north half of the District. We also have lots of lines and trees down in the town of Crofton. We will continue to work on outages for a few hours yet and then begin again early tomorrow morning at daylight. Check back for further updates. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
