Today, we celebrated the women that have fought breast cancer in our community and school. We have 3 ladies that have fought and won the battle: Misty, Crystal and Teresa. We are thankful that they are survivors!

Breast cancer is more than a diagnosis. It is a journey filled with fear, courage, strength, hope, and sometimes heartbreaking loss. Behind every diagnosis is a person with dreams, a family who loves them, and a life that matters deeply.

Survivors are a beautiful reminder of resilience, courage, and the power of hope. They carry scars that tell stories of battles fought, tears shed, and strength they may never have known they possessed. Their journeys deserve to be celebrated, and their courage deserves to be honored.

Those we have lost to breast cancer will never be forgotten. They leave behind memories, love, and pieces of themselves in everyone whose lives they touched. Although their battles may have ended, their stories continue to live on in the hearts of their families and friends.

Breast cancer does not define a person, but the love, strength, and impact they leave behind are everlasting. Whether someone is fighting, surviving, supporting a loved one, or grieving someone they lost, every story matters.

In honor of every fighter, every survivor, every family, and every precious life lost — we stand together in pink, united by love, strengthened by hope, and forever committed to finding a cure. 🎀

Today, we recognized and supported 2 of our students, that have Rett’s Syndrome. Sadie and Penelope!

Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological and developmental disorder that affects the way the brain develops. This disorder causes a progressive loss of motor skills and language. Rett syndrome primarily affects females.

Most babies with Rett syndrome seem to develop as expected for the first six months of life. These babies then lose skills they previously had — such as the ability to crawl, walk, communicate or use their hands.

Over time, children with Rett syndrome have increasing problems with the use of muscles that control movement, coordination and communication. Rett syndrome can also cause seizures and intellectual disabilities. Unusual hand movements, such as repetitive rubbing or clapping, replace purposeful hand use.

Tomorrow, we will be wearing pink to support Breast Cancer!

Today, we wore blue to recognize and support our student, Easton, that has Erb’s Palsy.

Erb’s palsy is a brachial plexus birth injury affecting the C5–C6 nerves (which controls movement and sensation), causing weakness or paralysis of a baby’s shoulder and arm; it occurs in about 1–2 per 1,000 births and often results from shoulder dystocia or excessive traction during delivery, typically when the infant’s neck and shoulder are excessively stretched.

Tomorrow, October 22, 2026, we will wear purple supporting Rhett Syndrome.

Today, we recognized and supported a student that has Polymicrographia, by wearing the color gray!

Polymicrographia may be associated with neurological conditions that affect movement or the control of fine motor skills.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21, 2026, we will be wearing blue/dark blue to support Erb’s Palsy.

Thank you CRHS for coming to spend the afternoon with our kids and including us in homecoming celebrations. Our elementary students were read to by football players and cheerleaders, while students in music class got to spend time with band members. Afterwards, all students were able to enjoy a pep rally!

This event came with perfect timing as it’s college application and exploration month. Our students were able to see the benefit of staying in school and continuing their education through their interactions with high school students who are planning ahead for their future. CRHS Information Page
