We had a cool, windy morning at Fargo National Cemetery today — perfect weather for meaningful work. About 30 community members came out to participate in our Carry the Load cemetery clean‑up, and their dedication made the day beautiful.

We began at 10 AM with a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a short reflection on 9/11 and why service like this matters. After instructions, everyone jumped right in.

Most volunteers brought buckets and brushes to gently clean headstones. A few took rakes to refresh the mulch beds, and others pulled the few weeds that remained — thanks to the excellent grounds care from J‑1 Excavation, our cemetery contractor. A small group focused on cleaning the flower vases, making sure every detail was cared for.

It was a meaningful, peaceful morning, and we are deeply grateful for everyone who showed up to honor our heroes through service.
Thank you, Fargo‑Moorhead community. Your support matters. Fargo National Cemetery Committee
