***Update*** The outage was completed at 1:30 p.m. A squirrel caused the transformer fuse and junction fuse to blow.

An electric distribution crew responded at 12:26 p.m. to an outage affecting an area including the 2300-2500 block of West Third and Fourth Streets and 300 block of North Laird Avenue.

An electric distribution crew completed the outage at 2:40 a.m. that affected an area including the 600 block of West First Street. The outage began at 12:50 a.m. A bad arrester was found and repaired.

*** Update *** Power has been restored. Lineman found a tree branch causing a short downstream of the Columbine Avenue recloser and also had to repair a jumper line.

An electric distribution crew responded at 2:40 a.m. to an outage affecting a large area in northeastern Hastings. Thanks to everyone who informed us of your outage! We’ll keep you updated.
