🎉 There's more celebrating to do!

Our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten readers have been busy filling our tree with their reading accomplishments, and we're making room for one more graduation celebration! 🌳📚

If your reader missed this year's April 18 or October 10 graduations, join us on November 7 at 10 a.m. for an additional opportunity to celebrate reaching 1,000 books!

We're celebrating our 8th graduating class from 1000 Books Before Kindergarten!🎉

Last Saturday, the class of 16 readers received their graduation certificates, their names were added to leaves on our 1000BBK tree, and we finished the celebration with cookies and juice. Congrats, everyone! We're so proud of you!👏💖

📣 Hoopla update!

We’re making a couple of changes to help **more people use Hoopla throughout the month.**

Starting Monday, Oct. 19:

➡️ Monthly checkouts will go from 10 to 6 per card
➡️ Instant Bundles will give you always-available access to select popular titles without using a regular checkout

Why the changes? We’ve been hitting Hoopla’s daily spending limit early in the day, which means some patrons are unable to borrow anything later that day.

These changes were suggested by our Hoopla team to help us stretch the service further and spread access across more of our community. And even with the new limit, HPL will still offer more monthly Hoopla checkouts than several nearby libraries serving communities of 40,000+ people.

We’ll keep monitoring usage and looking for ways to give our community the best access to digital materials we can. 💚
