Sometimes the caterpillars have their own ideas. This one started hanging on the leaf instead of the lid. We were able to trim around it and tape it to the lid. We also sometimes have a helper to keep an eye on the caterpillars.

It’s curious what the cooler temperatures will do. Over the past couple weeks, the butterflies might come out before 7 AM. Today we only have one out by 4 pm. It probably doesn’t help to be overcast either. I guess they will just wait until tomorrow.
