🐻 4 Houses. 1 Family. Coming Soon to A.H. Bangert!
Bangert families, we are excited to share a new tradition that is coming to A.H. Bangert Elementary — our RCA-inspired House System!

Today, our teachers were officially sorted into their houses, and soon it will be our students’ turn! The date of our inaugural AHB Student Sorting Day will be revealed soon, and we cannot wait to see which house randomly chooses your scholar!

Our four houses each represent important character traits that we want to help develop in our students:
🖤 Altruismo — The House of Givers
Represented by the snake and griffin, Altruismo celebrates generosity, service, and putting others first.
❤️ Amistad — The House of Friendship
Represented by the peacock and knight, Amistad focuses on friendship, loyalty, connection, and building relationships.
💙 Rêveur — The House of Dreamers
Represented by the wolf and unicorn, Rêveur encourages students to dream big, imagine possibilities, and pursue their goals.
💚 Isibindi — The House of Courage
Represented by the lion and mute swan, Isibindi celebrates bravery, perseverance, and doing what is right even when it is difficult.

Our House System will help us intentionally build the character traits and soft skills students will need for the rest of their lives — including making friends, finding connections in new environments, working with others, showing courage, serving others, and believing in themselves.

This is also one more way we are working to create an experience that sets A.H. Bangert apart. We want our students to feel that school is more than a place they come to learn academics. It is a place where they belong, contribute, build relationships, grow as people, and become part of something bigger than themselves.

You can learn more about the House System that inspired us by watching this video:

Please note that AHB does not currently have the RCA House App, so some parts of the system shown in the video will look different at Bangert. We are building a House System that works for our Bears, our values, and our community.

We would also love the support of our community and families as we prepare for this exciting day. If you know a local business interested in helping sponsor our inaugural Sorting Day, please let us know.
