Public Works will be fogging for mosquitoes tonight (June 2nd) beginning sometime between 8p and 8:30p. Wind conditions should be favorable for an effective application of anti-mosquito spray. Please remember to regularly dump standing water that can be found in bird baths, tires or surface that retains water for more than three days.

UPDATED INFORMATION:
Brush can be taken to the burn site today starting at 1 p.m. as long as the water goes down at the burn site. If it is still too wet and muddy we will will not open at that time and will give another update at 1 p.m.

Public works has still been working hard to get everyone restored. In order to do so, power will need to be turned off in some areas so this can safely be done. They hope to have everyone turned back on soon.

Due to the branches and limbs that have fallen today, the burn site will be open tomorrow, May 31, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for brush ONLY. No other dumping will be allowed.

We are aware of the power outages. Once the weather has passed and it's safe for our public works staff to evaluate the problem they will get the power restored as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update: Mayor Wright has authorized the City Office to close early tomorrow (Friday, May 22nd) at 2pm. We will reopen at 8am on Tuesday, May 26th.

Public works is aware of the electrical issues that are happening around town. They are currently trying figure out the source of the problem. We appreciate your patience while they work as quickly and safely as they can to get everyone restored.

Hazardous Waste Disposal Weekend!

๐ This weekend, the City is offering a special site for disposing of household hazardous waste items. ๐งช๐จ๐ Bring your chemicals, paint, and tires to the Public Works parking lot/Community Building area located at 211 S. Reno Ave. All chemicals must be in a closed container.
โจ Please make sure to place your items in the appropriate area.
