Happy Independence Day everyone! We want to wish you a safe and enjoyable time with friends and family!
PSA please remember that emergency vehicles may haveve to travel down your street, please leave a clear path and try to signal us if you have something that is already burning. We don’t want to drive over a firework.
If you partake in adult beverages, do not play with the fireworks, let’s keep all of our digits!
Along with that, do not drive under the influence.
Do not hold fireworks in your hands, again let’s keep them forngers!!
Please supervise kids, we don’t want to meet you or your littles that way!
Remember to soak your fireworks in water to makes
sure they are out before placing in the dumpster, the fire department doesn’t want to meet you that way either!
Have a garden hose out and ready incase you set your yard on fire or a fireworks paper burns.
DO NOT look over the top of a firework.
DO NOT approach to relight a firework, give it a bit and be careful!
Remember, 911 is for emergencies, it’s not for fluffy being scared of the neighbors fireworks.

Have a safe and wonderful Independence Day, we love our community but let’s not meet due to poor choices today!

Our thoughts and prayers are with 2 departments today, our local Phillips County who lost one of their own a couple days ago and a Idaho Fire department who lost 2 of their own today.

Crossing arms on Main Street headed west out of haven are malfunctioning. Please do NOT go around or under them. For one this is illegal! For 2 this is dangerous! Please be safe and go around.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of KCFD paramedic who was killed in the line of duty yesterday.

Please avoid S. Main Street in Hutchinson, Hutchinson fire is working a structure fire. For their safety and your safety please stay out of this area.

Good morning folks, just a reminder to be prepared if you have to be out today. The conditions currently are dangerous to be out if your unprepared. It is currently-3 with 11pm winds putting the feels like temp at -16 degrees.

Roads are still slick in areas and East/West roads still have drifts and snow cover. Please be sure to slow down and pay attention. Drifts may be bigger and deeper than they appear while driving and with the conditions can pose a great risk if you become stranded.

Also with this weather keep an eye on kids and animals, these will be much more susceptible to having injuries or death from the extreme cold.

Everyone please pay attention. This is critical.

Good morning and happy Wednesday! As you get around today be prepared. We are currently seeing a temp of about 25 with mist. So roads and pavement may be slick. Slow down, take your time. Don’t use cruise control and give extra time to get where you need to go. Go make today great!

Good morning folks, if you are out and about this morning please slow down. With the rain last night and below freezing temps, we are back to having ice on the roads. They may look perfectly clear right now but there are areas that are slick.
