🌧️ WEEKEND NOR’EASTER — BE PREPARED 🌬️

Hawthorne OEM is monitoring a significant weekend Nor’easter expected to bring strong winds, heavy rainfall, coastal flooding, and hazardous conditions across the region.

🌧️ Heavy Rain: 1.5–3+ inches expected in portions of the region, with higher totals possible closer to NYC and Long Island.
🌊 Flooding: Moderate to locally major coastal flooding is possible, with 2–3 feet of inundation in some locations.
🌳 Power Outages: Downed trees and power lines are possible, especially with saturated ground and full foliage.

🌧️ NOR’EASTER IMPACTING THE REGION FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND 🌊

Hawthorne OEM is monitoring the developing nor’easter expected to impact our region through the weekend.

The National Weather Service is highlighting the potential for strong winds, prolonged rainfall, coastal flooding, hazardous surf and rip currents, beach erosion, downed trees and power outages. Areas of northern New Jersey could receive approximately 1.5–3 inches of rainfall, with localized flooding possible, particularly in poor-drainage areas.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Secure loose outdoor objects
• Avoid unnecessary travel during periods of hazardous weather
• Never drive through flooded roadways
• Stay away from flooded or storm-damaged areas
• Charge phones and emergency equipment
• Monitor official weather and emergency-management updates
• Be prepared for possible power outages

Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe.

Follow Hawthorne OEM and the National Weather Service for the latest information and updates.
