It was a lovely, clear sky on Friday night as our Astronomy Club met. Local community members came and brought their telescopes. Brian Doyle, from Silver Springs, brought the Truss Tube Dobsonian that he had built and he invited his friend Tim Stoffel from Reno. Both men shared their extensive knowledge of the night sky with us. Thank you both for coming down.

The Adult Kitchen a la Cart class made a delicious Skillet Chicken Parm Spaghetti Squash. The Teen class made Pumpkin Pancakes with Cinnamon Cream Syrup. Thank you everyone who participated!

Today is the last day of our Banned Books Week display. Banned Books Week occurs all across the country at this time of year. We highlight books that have been banned or challenged through the years. Patrons are surprised when they see some of their favorites as part of the display. We "lock" them in the display case to stress the message that you cannot access banned books. But don't worry, you can check out any of these books after Banned Books Week ends.
