đź’™ CARE: Helping First Responders Better Serve Our Community
When an emergency happens, having the right information can make a difference.
The Ellis County CARE Alert Program — Creating Awareness, Responding Effectively — allows individuals and families to voluntarily provide important information to emergency responders before an emergency occurs.
CARE may be especially helpful for individuals who:
• Have developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities
• Are on the autism spectrum
• Have Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments
• Have unique communication needs
• Have medical conditions or other needs responders should be aware of
When a CARE Alert is on file, dispatchers and participating first responders can access that information when responding to an emergency. This can help improve communication, reduce stress, and support a more informed and compassionate response.
đź”’ Your information is confidential and is available only to authorized emergency personnel when necessary. CARE registrations are renewed annually to help keep information current.
