Our creeks, rivers, and wetlands need a little extra love, and we can make a huge impact together. This September 19th, join thousands of fellow Californians across the state for Coastal Cleanup Day as we roll up our sleeves to protect our precious water supply and keep the Bay thriving.

It’s an awesome opportunity to give back to the environment, connect with your community, and have a total blast while doing good. Mark your calendars, grab a friend, and let’s keep California’s waters clean and beautiful! ☀️💙

Want a healthier, happier neighborhood? It starts with all of us! 🧹✨
A clean environment keeps our community thriving and our Bay safe for everyone-including Fred and Izzy! 🌊🐾
What’s one small thing you’re doing this week to help keep our Bay litter-free?

🌊 Happy Coastal Cleanup Month! 🌊
Fred and Izzy are sending a HUGE thank you to everyone helping keep their home—the San Francisco Bay, along with its creeks and wetlands—clean and healthy! 💙
Did you know that coastal cleanup actually starts right in your own neighborhood? 🏡✨

Here’s why your local sidewalk matters:
🚯 Street litter gets washed into storm drains when it rains.
🌊 Storm drains flow directly into our waterways—completely untreated!
🛑 Picking up trash near home stops pollution before it ever reaches the Bay.
Every single piece of litter you pick up makes a massive difference for local wildlife! 🦀🐟

Thinking about hiring a mobile business that comes to your home to wash your car 🚗, power wash your home 🏠, groom your pet 🐕, or clean the carpets 🧼? Make sure they protect the health of your environment. Here are a few things to keep in mind!

The wash water from these services can harm our environment if not disposed of properly. Businesses should not let water run down the street or into storm drains. ⚠️

When you hire a mobile business, make sure they:
• Plan ahead: Ask them where they plan discharge wash water before they start.
• Contain the water: They should us berms to keep water from flowing into gutters,
if they are working outside.
• Discharge water safely: Make sure they follow local regulations on where to dump
wash water. This may be a a sink or toilet 🚽, or sanitary sewer cleanout, or an
approved waste collection center.
