The mission of the Senior Resource Center is to serve, support, assist, and advocate for the older adults

The Senior Resource Center in Hayward is affiliated with GWaar, one of three regional agencies on aging in Wisconsin that administer federal and state resources for the development of programs and services for older adults. The mission of the GWaar is to affect positive change in the quality , efficiency and effectiveness of county and tribal aging units in order to preserve and enhance the quality of life of older adults in Northern Wisconsin. The programs of the Senior Resource Center are designed to achieve this mission. Both the Senior Resource Center and GWaar are governed by the Older Americans Act and the Wisconsin Elders Act. To meet the diverse needs of the growing numbers of older persons in the United States, President Lyndon Johnson on August 14, 1965, signed into law the Older Americans Act (OAA). The OAA set out specific objectives for maintaining the dignity and welfare of older individuals and created the primary vehicle for organizing, coordinating, and providing community-based services and opportunities for older Americans and their families

You can get free technical help with questions about your phone, laptop or tablets from Jack of Click and Learn. Here is the schedule. This is available at the Sherman and Ruth Weiss Community Library.

Our free tech help schedule is changing a little bit starting in November.
Tech Help will be available on the dates below on a first come first serve basis. A library staff member or Jake of Click and Learn will be available to help you with questions about your phone, laptop, or tablets.

Breakfast menu for November - served only at our Stone Lake Center from 8am to 9am Monday - Friday. PLEASE call in a reservation the day ahead so we have enough food and control waste - thanks for your consideration.

Exercise classes at the Hayward Senior Center. All are welcome. $2 a class. Just show up and have some fun while working those muscles. Any questions, call Jodi at the Center.

Days are getting shorter and cooler. Before we all settle in early to avoid driving on dark roads, stop in at one of the Senior Center locations and enjoy a nice hot lunch and some friendly company. This is the lunch menu for November - breakfast menu to follow shortly.
