We love when vibrant learning experiences and community leadership opportunities go hand-in-hand! Second Graders have been practicing becoming inspiring leaders and responsible citizens, as well as learning about the judicial system and services provided by their local government in Social Studies. This morning they enjoyed a presentation from Judge Cody Goehring and Ms. Kelly Stidham from the Department of Child Services. Students used their knowledge of government services and leadership to ask important questions about those careers and what they can do right now to make a positive impact in their communities. Ms. Howard would like to send a special shout out to Judge Goehring and Ms. Kelly for their collaboration.
