Wasatch County Government The Official page of Wasatch County, Utah Wasatch County is located in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah east of the Salt Lake, and Utah valleys.

Wasatch County is composed mainly of mountainous terrain with high mountan valleys. Wasatch County is home to Heber City, Midway City, Charleston Town, Wallsburg Town, Daniel Town, Hideout Town, Independence Town, and a small portion of Park City. Wasatch County has fantastic outdoor recreational opportunities.

The gate on Guardsman's Pass Road above the Y will be closed due to weather from tonight 10/22 at 8 p.m. until the morning of Monday 10/26. Seasonal access from Pine Canyon to Empire Pass will remain open, however motorists traveling on these roads during this time do so at their own risk, as this road is not plowed.

❄️ The snow hasn’t started flying yet, but we want you to be aware! To help ensure safe and speedy snow removal on county roads this winter, Wasatch County has adopted a new seasonal parking ordinance.

From November 1 through April 1, no parking is allowed on paved county roads or within 5 feet of a paved county road between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., and whenever any of the following conditions exist:
• There is any amount of snow on the street
• It is snowing or within 24 hours after snowfall
• The street has not yet been plowed since snow fell

Keeping roads clear of parked vehicles helps our crews work safely and efficiently during storms. Thank you for helping us keep winter travel smooth for everyone!

The smoke seen east of Heber by Lake Creek is part of a U.S. Forest Service Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest prescribed fire project along the West Fork Duchesne Road (Forest Service Road #050). Please do not report.
These prescribed burns are essential to wildfire mitigation and prevention.

Wasatch County offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, and will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 13, with regular hours.
