Take a moment to read!!
The Labor Day holiday marks the beginning of the end of summer!!! Our county's visitors are here for one last stay, one more trip to the lake, one more chance to make memories in our beautiful town. We hope they have fun and enjoy themselves but we all need to keep in mind the temperatures are still at extreme levels, The Burn Ban is under full enforcement and high water generation must be respected while enjoying the cool waters of our river. Drink plenty of water, Please don't start any fires and wear your lifejackets while enjoying our public waterways. Thankfully our run volume this year has been lower than average. Our team has responded to 14 lake, 4 river, 7 missing persons, 6 officer assist and 3 medical assist calls so far this year. Our hopes now is that these numbers remain the same as we look forward to cooler weather with a Fall season filled with hard training days ahead.
I truly have a one of a kind group of folks I'm proud to call teammates. Normally we prefer to operate without any public recognition or media attention, however in the coming months I would like to introduce our team to you. They may not like whats about to take place but I believe it's important to honor their hard work, training and dedication to you, being willing to answer THE CALL . Soooo stay tuned!!!!
