Heber Springs Fire Department The Heber Springs Fire Department is a 30-member combination department dedicated to protecting the lives and property of our community.

Our members are trained and equipped to respond to a wide range of emergencies, including fire suppression, water rescue and dive operations, high-angle rope rescue, EMS calls, vehicle extrication, fire prevention, and fire investigations. Our department operates a diverse fleet consisting of six fire engines, one aerial apparatus, one rescue unit, two brush trucks, two boats, and one side-by-side. With five stations strategically located throughout the area, we provide emergency coverage for approximately 58 square miles. Serving both the City of Heber Springs and surrounding areas.

Thank you to Heber Springs Elementary School for allowing us to spend time with the second grade classes yesterday to talk about fire safety at home!

We enjoyed the opportunity to teach these students important fire safety tips, discuss ways to stay safe in an emergency, and help them understand what to do if a fire occurs.

Educating our communityโ€™s youngest members is an important part of what we do, and weโ€™re always happy to help spread the word about fire safety!

๐Ÿšจ BURN BAN REMINDER ๐Ÿšจ

DO NOT BURN!

Cleburne County remains under a burn ban, and the entire state of Arkansas is at HIGH RISK for wildfires.

DO NOT BURN ANYTHING. PERIOD.

Current conditions are extremely dangerous for outdoor burning. A small fire can quickly get out of control, threatening homes, property, lives, and the safety of our firefighters.

The use of charcoal grills for food preparation is allowed as long as it has a lid or a way to be covered. Please ensure the coals are completely cooled before disposing. Hot coals can easily start a fire.

This is not the time to take chances or assume you can safely control a fire. Do not burn brush, leaves, trash, or any other materials. One careless decision could have devastating consequences.

Help us protect our community and keep our firefighters from having to risk their lives fighting preventable fires.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host the ENTIRE first grade class from Heber Springs Elementary School, and we had a blast!

While visiting the Cleburne County Library next door to Central Station, the students and their teachers got to stop by and see what life is like at the fire station. They explored our equipment, toured the station or the โ€œ firefighters house โ€ as some of them called it, and learned a little bit about fire safety along the way.

We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with our community, teach fire safety, and maybe even inspire a few future firefighters!

A big thank you to the teachers and students for stopping by and spending part of their day with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

Stay safe, and remember: learning about fire safety starts at any age!

๐Ÿ”ฅ Cleburne County Burn Ban Lifted ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The burn ban for Cleburne County has been lifted. However, despite the recent rainfall, we strongly encourage everyone to avoid outdoor burning if possible.

The rain we received will be quickly absorbed by the dry ground, and conditions may still favor the rapid spread of fires.

If you absolutely must burn, please use extreme caution. Never leave a fire unattended, keep water and firefighting tools nearby, and make sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area.

Just because the burn ban has been lifted doesnโ€™t mean the risk of wildfires is gone. Help us protect our homes, property, and community by avoiding unnecessary outdoor burning.

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Brady Thompson on completing the EMT program at the Arkansas Fire Training Academy today! To make the day even better, Brady also passed his National Registry EMT-B exam this morning!

While this is a major milestone, Brady still has several weeks of training ahead before graduation. We know he will continue to work hard, stay focused, and make the most of every opportunity to learn.

We are proud of Brady and his dedication to serving the citizens of Heber Springs and its many visitors. Help us congratulate him on this accomplishment and wish him continued success as he finishes his training!

Great job, Brady! Keep up the hard work!
