⚠️ WATER & ROADWAY SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️

Please stay away from the Little Blue River until further notice.

Water levels are high and continuing to rise, according to Thayer County Emergency Management, and flooding is impacting county roadways in the area.

For your safety:

🚫 Stay away from the Little Blue River.

🚧 Avoid flooded or water-covered roadways.

⚠️ Do not attempt to drive through standing or moving water.

📢 Please use caution and share this notice with others who may be affected.

Please stay safe and avoid the affected areas until further notice.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
PIVOT IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

Any person allowing a sprinkler irrigation system to spray or accumulate water on to or across a public road may, upon conviction, be found guilty of a Class IV misdemeanor. Nebraska Revised Statute, Section 39-703.01. A properly functioning automatic shutoff on the end gun of the irrigation system is required under this law.

Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Have you received an Early Voting Ballot Application in the mail?
👉 It did NOT come from the Thayer County Election Office or the State of Nebraska Election Office. It was sent by a third-party organization.

✅ You may complete and return the application to the Thayer County Clerk/Election Office. We can accept it and will send your ballot when Nebraska law allows.

🗑️ If you do not wish to complete it, you can simply throw it away.

📬 BY-MAIL PRECINCTS:
Voters in Alexandria, Bruning, Davenport, Belvidere, Gilead, Carleton, Chester, Hubbell, and Byron do NOT need to complete an application. Ballots are automatically mailed to eligible registered voters in these precincts.

📅 By-mail ballots will be mailed October 9, 2026 — the first day allowed by Nebraska law.
