Thin Line Service Dogs

We have another exciting addition to the TLSD Family!!!

As America celebrates 250 years of freedom, courage, and independence, we couldn't think of a more fitting name for one of the newest members of the Thin Line Service Dogs family!

Meet TLSD Liberty! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Born during this historic year, Liberty's name represents so much more than a milestone. It honors the freedoms we are blessed to enjoy and the brave men and women who have served, sacrificed, and continue to protect them.

As the daughter of TLSD Marsha, Liberty has some pretty big paws to fill! We are excited to watch her grow, learn, and begin her journey toward becoming a service dog for one of our nation's heroes.

250 years of American freedom. A new generation of service dogs. One very special little girl named Liberty. 🇺🇸

Welcome to the Thin Line Service Dogs family, Liberty! We can't wait to see what your future holds. ❤️🐾

Thank you, once again, Gold Mountain Kennel for your donation of this amazing pup to the program!

Introducing TLSD Sunny! ☀️

It is with great honor that we introduce the newest member of the Thin Line Service Dogs family, TLSD Sunny, named in loving memory of FDNY Firefighter John Vigiano II, who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸❤️

John came from a family with a deep dedication to serving others. His father was also a member of the FDNY, and that legacy of service was something John carried with pride.

But before he was a firefighter and a hero, he was a little boy whose smile could light up a room. When John was born, his father affectionately called him “Sunshine” because of his big, contagious smile. The nickname stuck, and he became known to those who loved him as Sunshine. ☀️

When it came time to name this sweet golden retriever, we couldn't think of a more fitting name. Just like his namesake, Sunny has a way of bringing happiness and a little sunshine wherever he goes!

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to John's family for allowing us the incredible honor of naming Sunny in his memory. We know that behind every hero is a family who carries their love, memories, and sacrifice every single day.

To his wife, thank you for sharing John's story with us and trusting us to carry a piece of his legacy forward. It is an honor we do not take lightly. ❤️

As Sunny grows and begins his journey toward serving those who serve us, we hope he brings comfort, happiness, and light to those who need it most.

There is something incredibly special about knowing that a nickname given by a proud father to his smiling little boy will now live on through a dog whose purpose is to bring sunshine into the lives of others.

A name with a story. A life worth remembering. A legacy that will never be forgotten.

Welcome to the family, TLSD Sunny! We cannot wait to see the lives you touch and the sunshine you spread along the way. ☀️🐾

John's sunshine will continue to shine through you. ❤️

🇺🇸 Never Forget.

Thank you to Gold Mountain Kennel for their donation of sweet Sunny to the Thin Line program!
