Sunday we took time out of our day to honor Reserve Captain Pat Hurley. Captain Hurley was known by almost everyone. He started his career with the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office in Reserve Class #1 in 1979. During his extensive 45 year tenure he filled many rolls and accomplished many things. We would like to thank Captain Hurley for his dedicated time with the Reserve program and wish him well in his retirement.

Sunday the Reserve unit took part on the 9/11 remembrance event. We got the chance to interact with other agencies. Thanks Reserve Captain Hannawalt for helping us out.

This past week we honored several of our Reserve Deputies. Reserve Deputies Michael Craig, James Bissett, Mark Criner, Alexandra Holmes, Erik P***n, and Aryen Anderson. Each after completing one year of service received their challenge coins from Undersheriff Brent Colbert. Also recognized was Reserve Corporal Brad Smith, Reserve Deputies Selena White and Matt Bianchini. Each of these members received their first service star recognizing four years of service to the Office. Congratulations to all and thank you for your service.

Today we kick off our 2026 recruiting. We are opening applications for Reserve Deputy. If you have always wanted to be in Law Enforcement, but really like your full time job, come talk to us about being a Reserve Deputy. We will be at the public safety open house today from 11 AM to 3 PM. Chat with one of our reserves and see if it may be something for you. For an application, just scan the QR code. Application period ends June 20th at close of business.

Tomorrow is the day. The Sheriff Reserves will be at our normal spot handing out treats to all the spooks goblins and anyone else. Stop by and say trick or treat. Broadway at the walking mall. Hope to see you there

Thanks to Reserve Captain Hannawalt, LT Campbell and Reserve Deputy Davis for helping out at the 9/11 remembrance event today. We got to hang out with the Reserve Deputies from Broadwater County Sheriff's Office Lewis and Clark County Detention Center and a Police Officer from the Federal Reserve. A huge shout out to all the people who stopped by and visited us. We loved visiting with all of you and look forward to seeing you at our next event. A special Shout out to the player from the Bighorn hockey team who volunteered to test drive our WRAP restraint system.
