DATA DIVE
(Data pulled September 10th, 2026)

Our latest data snapshot looks at individuals held at the Lewis & Clark County Detention Center with Failure to Appear warrants. As of September 10, 2026, 11% of individuals in the detention center were being held with an FTA warrant.

We wanted to look into some reasons as to why individuals in our detention center may be failing to appear for their court dates:
- 74% are employed
- 68% reported at least one health concern
- 4 individuals reported disability

Missing court can happen for many reasons—including work conflicts or barriers related to physical or mental health. Understanding these circumstances is an important part of understanding our local justice system.
