The countdown is on! There are just a few hours left to sign up for the Project Linus Knit & Crochet Along! After 11 pm MDT, the registration donation will increase to $25, AND you will not be able to designate a recipient chapter for your donation.... the donation will instead go to headquarters. Not that that is a bad thing, but if you want to support your local chapter more, the time is now.

So, what is this all about?
The Project Linus Knit and Crochet Along is a fundraiser for Project Linus chapters. Registration involves making a $20 donation to Project Linus... and you can indicate that the registration donation should go to the Great Falls & Helena, MT Chapter (or any other chapter of your choosing). There are two patterns... one for knitters and another for crocheters. Each pattern is $20 + 3.093% credit card processing fee. You can register for one, or the other, or both!
Registration closes at 12:01am CT on Saturday, October 10, 2026. That is 11:01 PM MDT FRIDAY, October 9.
Then, beginning Saturday morning, October 10, 2026, you will login to the Project Linus website and download the pattern(s) for which you registered.
There is no contest ... no race... with this. You can work at your own pace and have a great time doing so! And, in our Knit and Crochet Along Facebook group, you can share details about your KCA adventures with fellow participants. Also, these blankets are yours to keep or gift or give as you choose... you are not expected to donate them to Project Linus.
It all sounds like fun and a great way to spend time in the cooler autumn/winter weather ... which we are expecting to start over the weekend!

Fill in all the information, and be sure to put the Great Falls & Helena, MT Chapter as your registration donation recipient. Then wait until Saturday morning for the patterns to be posted.

SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE FROM Patty...
"Good morning. I've asked Chad to release the last bonus pattern. We are at 1951, but I hope we will get closer to 2000 by the end of the day. In past years, we have offered these patterns after the event in the form of a booklet that was $25. We made the decision that this year we are not going to offer the booklet. We want to keep this event special. Today will be the last day ever you can get these pattern.

Thank you to Jeanine Snyder for all her hard work on these patterns the past two years."

So, if you are still on the fence... you need to get it now or miss out!

From me.... A huge THANK YOU! to everyone who jumped on board! To everyone who supported the effort... whether it was our chapter, another chapter, or headquarters. To everyone who is stitching up those blankets. Thank you! You are the heart of all we do!!!

FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE....
Well, closer... but not there yet! We are still 61 short. And less than about 36 hours to get there. So, please... share the info. Share it with your friends... share it with your neighbors. But especially share it with all your quilting peeps!

That's it. That's the number of sign-ups still needed to release that 3rd and final Scrappy Sewing with Patty bonus pattern!

I just went in a looked at the patterns this year... Covered in Wonder... Covered in Motivation... Covered in Art... Covered in Courage... Covered in Glory... Covered in Moxie... Covered in Elegance... Covered in Hugs. They are all really fun, easy, do-able patterns!
And! Because I know some of you were wondering.... yes, if you sign-up now, near the end of the program, you will get access to ALL the patterns offered this year.

Scrappy Sewing with Patty was created to help Project Linus chapters raised funds for supplies and such. Registration is a $20 donation to Project Linus. For that $20 you receive a total of 7 patterns PLUS the 2 bonus patterns already released. Once you sign-up, you have instant access to all the patterns released so far. Then, if we can get 114 more to sign-up... this will crack the seal on that 3rd bonus pattern! That would be 10... TEN!... patterns!

Time to do this is short! The 7th pattern in the program will be released this Saturday... June 27, 2026. We need 114 more people to sign up before that release, and everyone will receive a 3rd bonus pattern! After that, the opportunity for a bonus pattern is gone. That's it... done. And if you later decide to sign-up, the price will be higher and you won't be able to designate a recipient chapter.

So.... let's do this now! 'Operators are standing by!' as they say! Really... it's all online... there are no operators standing by.
