It's election season and yard signs are popping up all over town. Here are some do's and don'ts about all temporary signs, per City Code:

❌ Don’t place signs on public right of way or public property.
✔️ Do ensure there is a minimum of two feet between a portion of the sign and the adjacent property, street right of way, or curb line. In residential districts, temporary signs must be 6 feet or less in height and not exceed 6 square feet in size.
✔️ Do ensure you have the property owner’s permission to place any signs
✔️ Do remove signs within 5 days of the end of the “event”

Report sign violations on the My Helena App on your mobile device or at www.helenamt.gov/MyHelena under the "Community Decay" item.
