Homeless Vet Gets Help...
Good news Hemet!
Many of you have noticed our ROCS (Restoring Our Community Strategy) officers have been working hard every day since they have been deployed. One of their primary duties is to respond to and help develop solutions for our homeless and vagrancy issues. Today, they stopped and made contact with a person in the 1200 block of S. Cawston Ave. After a short conversation they were able to build a rapport with the man and they determined he was an honorably discharged veteran of the US Army. Our detectives quickly went to work and were able to find available housing for the veteran. Not everyday working the street is a good one but today was rewarding for our ROCS Team. If you know of or come into contact with a veteran of our armed services there is help available. This is the 4th homeless veteran they have been able to match up with housing.
The ROCS Team is funded by revenue from Measure U.
