Just a little reminder, Hemingway… Prossers BBQ Legacy is coming soon!
We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready—a little paint, a lot of hard work, and plenty of love. ❤️

We’re not quite ready to open the doors to the public yet, but we’re getting closer!

We do have two special private events coming up as we get ready:
🔥 Thursday, October 8 — Soft Opening & Employee Training Night�🔥 Sunday, October 11 — Private Catering Event
These are private events and we are NOT officially open to the public yet.

Our official opening day will be announced soon!

For 37 years, the South Carolina BBQ S**g Festival has been more than an event — it's become a Carolina tradition. Passed down, grilled low and slow, and danced out on the ball fields in Hemingway one weekend every spring. Grandparents brought their kids. Those kids brought their kids. And every year, the pit smoke and the s**g music pull us all back home.

In 2027… this Carolina tradition continues! Clear your calendar, tell your people, and get ready to do it all again — the barbecue, the beach music, and the great folks who've been coming since the beginning.

❤️🐷 WELL, HEMINGWAY… WE’RE COMING HOME! 🐷❤️

Many years ago, our family opened Prosser’s BBQ right here in Hemingway, SC.
Over the years, our family restaurant moved to other areas, and eventually the restaurant itself closed. But the Prosser’s BBQ Legacy never really went away.
We continued the family tradition through our BBQ sauce and wholesale BBQ, keeping the name, the recipes, and the love for BBQ alive.
And now… we’re bringing it back home!
We are so excited to announce that Prosser’s BBQ Legacy Restaurant will be opening soon in the former Kenny’s BBQ location in Hemingway!

We also want to take a moment to honor the Tanner family, who made Kenny’s BBQ a part of this community. We especially remember our friend, Neil, whose life and work made Kenny’s what it was to so many people. ❤️

To come back to where our BBQ story began and to carry forward a little of the history already rooted in this location is something truly special to us.

Same family legacy. Same love for BBQ. A brand-new chapter.
