Being Fire Chief doesn't mean the training stops! 💪
Join us in congratulating our very own Fire Chief Powell Wilkins on successfully completing his Surface/Swift Water Rescue Class!👏
Chief Wilkins continues to lead from the front, putting in the time and effort to sharpen his skills and better serve our community.
We're proud to have a Chief who doesn't just talk the talk but walks the walk (or swims it in this case)! 🏊♂️😂
Seven members of the City of Oxford Fire Department recently completed an intensive 36-hour Surface Water Rescue course, successfully earning their certifications as Surface Water Rescue Technicians.
Throughout the course, our firefighters gained valuable hands-on experience while training on our very own City of Oxford lake. This training strengthens our department’s ability to respond safely and effectively to water-related emergencies throughout our city and county.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the City of Oxford for allowing us to utilize local resources to enhance our training and emergency response capabilities.
Our firefighters remain committed to continuing their education, improving their skills, and being prepared to serve when our community needs us most.
One Vision, Purpose and Service.
