❤️ It Takes a Village to Feed a Community! ❤️

It’s busy and exciting on Thursdays at The Salvation Army Food Pantry in Henderson!

From shopping carts rolling to signs going up and volunteers and staff making sure everything is ready, there is a LOT happening behind the scenes!

We even have visits from Vance County EMS!

What you don’t always see when you visit our food pantry is the incredible amount of teamwork it takes to make it all happen!

Every box moved, every cart pushed, every bag packed, and every helping hand makes a difference for families in our community.

And here’s where YOU come in!

We need more volunteers! Whether you can give an hour, a morning, or help regularly, there’s a place for you on our team. You don’t need special skills, just a willing heart and a desire to serve!

Our Red Shield Youth Center kids stumbled upon a little surprise today… a TURTLE! 🐢

What started as a regular day of activity turned into an impromptu science lesson filled with curiosity, questions, and excitement!

We love watching our kids discover that learning doesn’t always happen in a classroom. Sometimes it happens right under our feet!

🚗❤️ 100+ CARS. LESS THAN ONE HOUR. A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE! ❤️🚗

Who knew The Salvation Army could pull off a Chick-fil-A drive-thru move?! 😂🙌

Today, we welcomed OVER 100 cars in less than an hour as senior men and women came to sign up for a holiday food box!

But behind every car was something much more important: a senior who deserves to feel remembered, valued, and cared for this holiday season. ❤️

And while we’re celebrating some pretty impressive teamwork today, we’re also reminded that the need in our community is GREAT.

🎄 We are going to need MANY MORE helping hands this holiday season!

Whether you have a few hours to give, a heart for serving, or simply want to make a difference, there’s a place for you to help us bring hope to our neighbors.

📞 Call The Salvation Army at 252-438-7107 to learn about volunteer opportunities this holiday season!

Because serving 100 cars in an hour is impressive, but serving our community together? THAT’S what it’s all about! ❤️🔔
