The Henderson Historical Society seeks to foster public awareness and pride and to preserve the history of Henderson, Nevada for future generations.

The Henderson Historical Society (HHS) is a gathering of like-minded individuals who share a deep respect for the city’s history and are actively engaged in protecting the stories, photos, and folklore from Henderson’s past. A virtual, online association, the HHS provides a place for supporters to explore the character, charm, and events that built this great city.

The Henderson Historical Society hopes you had a happy Nevada Day! On this day in 1864, Nevada's constitution was telegraphed from Carson City to Washington D.C., from Governor Nye to President Lincoln, making our statehood official following congressional approval. This Wednesday Henderson Historical Society will be hosting Nevada historian Stanley W. Paher at our next Henderson Speaks lecture! Doors open at 6pm at the College of Southern Nevada.

Join us to learn about the Las Vegas Valley's past with an introduction from former Clark County Museum Administrator, Mark Hall Patton.

Henderson Speaks is a free event. Books written by Stanley W. Paher will be available for purchase. We look forward to having you there!
