Do you know a homebound Morrow County resident? We are providing flu vaccines to homebound Morrow County residents. Please give us a call at 541-676-5421 if you have questions or to schedule your appointment.
Please provide your insurance card when you receive your flu vaccine. We will bill your insurance, but the flu vaccine is free to you. A limited number of free vaccines are available for uninsured residents.

🚨 SOUTH TRANSFER STATION CLOSED TODAY – 9/26/2026 🚨

Due to an unforeseen illness, the South Transfer Station will be closed today, Saturday, September 26, 2026.

This closure affects only the South Transfer Station. The North Transfer Station will remain open during its normal operating hours.

🔴CANAL TREATMENT NOTICE🔴

The West Extension Irrigation District will apply Copper Sulfate to the upper canal to Paterson Ferry, and Argos to Boardman on Thursday, September 24. This application will target algae in the canal. The canal will have treated water from Thursday 6:30 am to Friday 11:00 am.

✈️ LEXINGTON AIRPORT (9S9) – RUNWAY CLOSURE NOTICE ✈️

Please be advised that Runway 08 26 at Lexington Airport (9S9) will be CLOSED to aircraft operations beginning:
📅 Monday, September 28, 2026 at 7:00 AM
through
📅 Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 7:00 AM

This closure is necessary to accommodate work associated with the PAPI Reconstruction Project.

During the closure, temporary yellow runway closure “X” markings will be placed at both ends of the runway to clearly indicate that the runway is unavailable for takeoffs and landings.
Pilots are encouraged to check current NOTAMs prior to flight for the most up to date airport information.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while these important improvements are completed at Lexington Airport. ✈️

The West Extension Irrigation District will apply Acrolein to its canal Wednesday, September 9 (upper canal) and Thursday, September 10 Boardman. This application will target algae in the canal. The canal will have treated water from 6:00 AM Wednesday to 11:00 am Friday.

The 2027 Morrow County Rodeo Queen Application has been updated and is now available at oregontrailprorodeo.org.

Applications are due October 11, 2026.

If you are interested in representing Morrow County, the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo and the Morrow County Fair, be sure to review the updated application and submit yours by the deadline.
