Hermantown Schools will be back in session beginning tomorrow! 🚌 🛑

Let’s work together to keep our children safe!

• State law requires all vehicles to stop for a school bus when the bus driver activates the flashing lights.

• Motorists must stop at least 20 feet from a bus that is displaying flashing red lights, regardless of whether or not the stop arm has been extended, when approaching from the rear or from the opposite direction on undivided roads.

• Slow down and pay attention!

🚨Fentanyl Aresst🚨

Last night at 6:08 p.m., officers found a man slumped in a vehicle on Maple Grove Road.

The 33-year-old showed clear signs of drug impairment and admitted to using fentanyl. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI.

A search turned up 90 grams of fentanyl and $905 in cash.

He’s now booked on:

• 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance
• Introducing Contraband into Jail
• 3rd Degree DWI

This arrest removes a significant amount of a dangerous controlled substance from our community.

Fentanyl continues to pose a serious threat to public safety.

One less dealer. One less deadly dose on our streets.

🚨 Hermantown Police Department 🚨

Two gun arrests. One day.

Apparently it was a two-for-one special we didn’t ask for.

1:01 p.m.

Officers responded to a business for a suspected shoplifter. They found an adult male with more than $1,300 in unpaid merchandise — plus a handgun and crack co***ne.

The male was arrested for felony theft, felony drug possession, and carrying a pistol without a license, a switchblade, and introducing contraband into jail.

8:20 p.m.

Officers were called to Swan Lake Road after a woman pointed a handgun at an adult male and a juvenile while they worked.

She was located outside her residence. A search warrant recovered a handgun in her bedroom.

The female was arrested for threats of violence and second-degree assault.

Excellent work by our responding Officers and thank you Proctor Police Department and St. Louis County Sheriff's Office - MN for the assistance 🤝

Illegal use of fi****ms and drugs don’t get a free pass in Hermantown. We’ll keep removing them.
