We understand that a blocked driveway is frustrating. Please know that our Public Works Crew does not intentionally block driveways. However, to keep main roads safe and passable, snow must be moved from the driving lanes, and the best way to do this often results in a windrow across driveway entrances.
To minimize the amount of snow left at your entrance, we recommend placing as much snow as possible on the right side of your driveway (when facing the street). This allows the plow to unload before it passes your driveway.
Please see the recommendation from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)

Is your property adjacent to a state-owned roadway? Follow these guidelines when removing snow from your driveway:
• Shovel or plow snow to the right side of the driveway (as you face the intersecting roadway).
• Eliminate snow piles at the property entrance whenever possible.
• Do not push snow onto roadways at any time.

From Penn Waste:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the trash collection truck broke down and needs to be towed. As a result, the attached area was unable to be serviced today.

We ask that residents please keep their trash at the curb, and it will collected first thing tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
