Yesterday, our young scholars in Mrs. Van’s class had buckets of fun with their apple unit. Here is what Mrs Van shares about their day:

🍎 Apple Day was a HUGE success! 🍎
We:
🍎 Measured our apples
🍎 Made predictions and tested whether our apples would sink or float
🍎 Cut open our apples and counted the seeds
🍎 Made delicious applesauce and enjoyed some yummy apple treats!
And, of course, the favorite part of the day was testing to see if our apples would sink or float! The excitement when an apple went into the water was priceless! 😂🍎
We also worked on literacy with a group sentence challenge! The words in each sentence were mixed up, and the kids had to work together with their teams to put the words in the correct order and build a sentence. They did an AMAZING job working together, sharing ideas, listening to their teammates, and figuring things out as a group. ❤️

Our campus was buzzing today with talent, determination, and big smiles!

Huge shoutout to our 2nd grade scholars who continue to amaze us every single day with their incredible work ethic, kindness, and positive energy. You all shine so bright! 💫
And over in PE, our 4th grade scholars brought the heat by showcasing some serious jump rope skills! From double bounces to criss-crosses, their coordination and endurance were top-tier. 🪢⚡️

We are so proud of how our scholars play hard, support one another, and give 100% in everything they do. Keep inspiring us, team! 🥳🙌

✨ Big energy and even bigger milestones at Topaz Preparatory lately! ✨

Our 6th-grade scholars have been absolutely locked in and putting in serious work in the classroom every single day. 📚💡

To make things even sweeter, yesterday we hosted our very first Breakfast with the Principal! 🥞☕ It was such a special morning spent connecting, celebrating progress, and looking ahead at all the amazing things to come.

We are beyond grateful for our exceptional staff who go above and beyond, and our wonderful parents who support us every step of the way. It truly takes a village, and we definitely have the best one! ❤️ Topaz Pride is real! 🌟

We are excited to introduce to you Ms. Valdovinos as our new Assistant Principal. Here are a few words from Ms. V:

“Hi, Topaz families! I’m Ms. Valdovinos, and I’m so excited to join the Topaz family as your new assistant principal! 🐯💛 I can’t wait to work alongside Mrs. Woods and the staff to support our scholars.

I’ve spent the past eight years teaching in our district, and building relationships with students and families has always been my favorite part of the job. I can’t wait to get to know all of you!

If you see me around campus, please come say hello. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome and excited for all that’s ahead!”✨

Please join us in giving her a warm welcome. The district is currently working on filling her current position and she will begin with us at Topaz soon. Welcome to Topaz Ms. V! 🐅
