๐ October Success Story: Charlene Lively ๐
This month, we are proud to spotlight Charlene Lively, a wonderful member of the Towns County Senior Center!
Charlene moved to Towns County from Buford, Georgia, and began attending the Senior Center in April 2026. Since then, she has become an active member of the center community, participating in daily activities and even joining a Wii Bowling team.
For Charlene, transportation has made it possible for her to attend the center and take part in the activities she enjoys. She shared that the van rides have become part of the experience, saying the members are โlike brothers and sisters,โ enjoying good times together on the way to and from the center and on group trips.
Charlene also shared how participating in Matter of Balance and Chair Exercises has helped her feel more confident with her balance and stability. And, as she puts it, โthe music gets me going!โ
Most importantly, Charlene says the Towns County Senior Center has given her a place to feel welcome, build friendships, and enjoy fellowship with others.
โThe people are great and each person has their own story or stories to tell, great fellowship!โ
With beautiful views, plenty of fun, love and laughter, Charlene describes the center as โa world of sunshineโ and says it is a blessing to have a place to visit each day.
We are so grateful to have Charlene as part of the Towns County Senior Center family! ๐
Thank you, Charlene, for sharing your story and reminding us of the difference that connection, friendship, movement and community can make.
