What happens when the life you thought you knew suddenly changes?

Monica L. Humpal knows that question firsthand.

After experiencing infidelity in her marriage, Monica navigated separation, reconciliation, grief, and healing. The experience ultimately reshaped her calling and led to work supporting other women who have chosen to stay and rebuild after betrayal.

For years, it's been "1 in 3 women will experience intimate partner violence.", but a new national study found more than 6 in 10.
𝟔𝟏% 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧.

Across Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander, and Burke counties, that percentage translates to approx. 𝟏𝟏𝟏,𝟔𝟑𝟎 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧.
Our neighbors, our coworkers, our friends, our family.
This isn't happening "somewhere else." It's happening 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.

When more than half of all women experience intimate partner violence, the truth becomes impossible to ignore.

It's in our neighborhoods.
It's in our workplaces.
It's in our schools.
It's in our meeting places.

You did it. And then some.

When we set our Period Action Day goal, we hoped to collect 1,000 period products for women Across the Four.

Because of this incredible community, you didn't just meet that goal.. You more than DOUBLED it.

Together, you've donated 2,505 period products to No Strings Attached, helping ensure more women have access to basic necessities with dignity and without barriers.

Thank you for showing up, caring deeply, and proving once again that community care changes lives.

Tomorrow marks the start of early voting in North Carolina!
At Women's Resource Center, we believe informed and engaged communities are stronger communities.
We encourage everyone who is eligible to learn about their voting options and make a plan to participate.

A global call to build a , and we're answering it right here at home!

No Strings Attached provides free menstrual hygiene products for women Across the Four counties we serve, helping ensure that no one has to choose between basic necessities and period products.

Our most-needed items include:
• Regular pads with wings
• Super pads with wings
• Super tampons
• Super+ tampons

We're also excited to begin offering menstrual cups and discs, expanding access to sustainable, long-lasting menstrual care options.

This Period Action Day, organizations around the world are working toward a collective goal of 1 million donated menstrual products.
