Chrysalis Counseling Helping you to grow into your true self! Chrysalis provides various counseling services to meet the individual needs of the client.

For children, play therapy can provide a safe and comforting atmosphere where the child does not feel threatened in any way by simply allowing the child the freedom to play with various toys. More information of play therapy can be found at www.a4pt.org. Sandtray therapy is a unique way of expression for clients of all ages. The client builds their "world" in the sand tray using selective objects for various reasons. This is another form of therapy that is extremely non-threathening by the way initial discussion is not necessary. A tray is built and then verbally processed through out the many stages of recovery. More information on sandtray therapy can be found at www.sandplay.org or www.ncsandplaypsychotherapy.com. Expressive Arts therapy taps into the many different versions of the arts including but not limited to dance/movement, music, art, drawing, crafting, etc. My degree was earned through Appalachian State University. More information on expressive art therapy can be found under ASU's website http://www.hpc.appstate.edu/expressive_arts/. Other forms of therapy may be used based on the clients needs and desires. I offer a wide range of counseling modalities so that the client feels as comfortable as possible when working through their life struggles.

What separates stable, emotionally intelligent couples from others is not that their repair attempts are necessarily more skillful or better thought out, but that their repair attempts get through to their partner. Because repair attempts can be difficult to hear if your relationship is engulfed in negativity, the best strategy is to make your attempts more formal and deliberate in order to emphasize them.

Get your free Repair Again Guide by subscribing to the Love Notes Newsletter before the end of the month! A new download will be sent out 10/1 on a different topic!

Keep in mind as well - it takes two. Purposeful and intentional efforts from one partner can make a big change in a relationship, and both partners have to want to grow together for long-lasting change to stick.
