Welp… Aidan and his family have done it AGAIN!

Aidan has officially found one of our hidden patches two years in a row! This year, he tracked it down at the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) Eastern Campus, right here in the Village of Highland Hills!

The Eastern Campus has been part of our community since 1971 and continues to provide educational, career and community opportunities to students throughout Northeast Ohio.

At this point, I think the Chief might have to come up with something extra special for our two-time patch-finding champ!

And take a look at the message Aidan sent us, it definitely made us smile.

Congratulations again, Aidan! Two years. Two patches. Aidan might officially be a professional at this! 😂Aidan Kocab

A Message from Chief Golston

Today was personal for me.

As long as I have the honor of sitting in this seat as Chief, we will never miss a Father’s Walk.

Growing up without having my dad present and not knowing my father, I understand what it can feel like to see others experiencing something you didn’t have. I never want a child to arrive at school on a day like today and feel left out because their father isn’t there.

Each year, the Highland Hills Police Department proudly assists the Warrensville Heights School District with its Father’s Walk. When a child arrives without their father or a father figure, one of us walks with them. No child should have to make that walk alone.

Today, our officers stepped in, walked alongside the kids, encouraged them, and made sure they reached those school doors knowing that someone was there for them. And next year? We’re bringing even more of us.

Sometimes policing isn’t about making an arrest or writing a ticket. Sometimes it’s simply about showing up. Check out some of the pictures from today. Highland Hills, OhioWarrensville Heights City School District Cuyahoga County
