Our Dog Man Halloween was "SUPA" fun! Thanks to all who came out, crafted Little Petey pumpkins (generously donated by Wilklow Orchards ), played hot potato, and pinned the badge on Dog Man. Thanks also to our very own Dog Man and Big Petey for making it a "pawsome" afternoon 🐾.

Did you know, that you can check out your very own stuffy name Crouton for 1 week. You can read about his early adventures and write your own in his travel binder. " We took Crouton to Underground, got some french fries, and I made her a crown. At night I read a book to him and we took him to the Ulster County Fair." - Avery.

Calling all Dog Man fans! Come have a Supa fun time at the Highland Library for our Dog Man Halloween! Themed around the Dog Man books by Dav Pilkey

We will decorate Little Petey pumpkins, play some Dog Man themed games and have a little snack!

Bonus prize if you wear Dog Man themed attire. Please register the child that will attend the program. For children ages 4- 13.

Today, we recognize Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

As we reflect on our nation’s history, we also honor the Indigenous peoples who have lived on and cared for this land for generations—and whose cultures, traditions, stories, and contributions continue to enrich our communities today.

Libraries are places where we can explore history from many perspectives, ask questions, discover stories that may be new to us, and deepen our understanding of one another.

On this day, we invite you to read, learn, reflect, and celebrate the many voices that are part of our shared history.
