The Metro District's proposed 2027 budget is available to view on our website at highlandsranch.org/news

Board members will discuss the proposed budget at their annual workshop at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, and a public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24. The final budget will be approved by the board at their Wednesday, Dec. 9 meeting at 6 p.m.

The proposed 2027 budget maintains current service levels and supports our community through ongoing investment in infrastructure, amenities, and programs that enhance quality of life for residents of all ages. The Metro District remains debt-free and financially strong.

The Highlands Ranch Metro District would like to hear from you!

This is a reminder that we'd like you to share your thoughts with us by participating in our online community survey. It is available at www.polco.us/2026HighlandsRanch through Wednesday, Oct. 28. Feedback from the survey is used by the board of directors and staff for planning and budget related decisions.

This survey previously required participants to share an email address in order to submit responses. We changed that requirement in response to resident feedback and we encourage everyone to submit their responses without an email address.

Survey results will be shared on our website later this year.

Not too shabby for 45, are we?

Celebrate the 45th anniversary of Highlands Ranch with the Metro District and Highlands Ranch Water TONIGHT from 6-7 p.m. at Max Taps, 2680 E. County Line Road. It'll be a fun night of trivia, featuring questions about Highlands Ranch history, landmarks and milestones.

Applications are open for the 2027 Highlands Ranch Citizens Academy.

Get an inside look at how Highlands Ranch works. Over eight Thursday evenings from Jan. 7 to Feb. 25, 5:30-9 p.m., you'll explore local government, parks and recreation, water, public safety, and more, while meeting fellow residents, staff, and elected officials. Dinner will be provided.

This is a great way to learn how the Metro District and other service providers work together to serve the community.

Thank you to everyone who participated Saturday in Renew the Ranch, our annual community open space cleanup. We also appreciate the volunteers who give their time to cleanups throughout the year. Your efforts help keep Highlands Ranch beautiful!

Our benefit golf tournament earlier this week was a great day on the course. With the generous support of our sponsors and golfers, we raised $28,480 for the Highlands Ranch Park and Recreation Foundation. Among other projects, the Foundation helps fund youth recreation scholarships, park amenities, the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument, historic interpretation at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, community events and more.
