HOUSE FIRE

Last night at approximately 8pm, firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire off of 195th avenue in Beaverton. This was one of two working house fires that occurred 3 miles apart, within 5 minutes of each other.

E6 arrived first in to find heavy fire involvement from the Bravo/Charlie corner of the house and smoke throughout the structure. E6 initiated fire attack in an offensive mode encountering moderate heat and low visibility. E2 arrived and their officer assumed command while the crew pulled a back up line to assist fire attack. E9 arrived and took a hydrant to the scene to secure water supply. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue crews performed a search in challenging conditions while their truck company performed vertical ventilation.

The fire was successfully extinguished with no injuries reported. We’re grateful for our strong partnership with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue in moments like these where resources are stretched thin between multiple incidents.
