If you've been in the library the last two days, you may have noticed my dark office... because, I've had the privilege of attending the first two days of the 2026 Kansas Library Association conference in Wichita. While my time here has come to a close, I'm heading back home with a brain full of information to sort out, ideas to process, and connections to foster. I'm thankful for the opportunity to attend and look forward to applying what I've learned in ways unique to the community Hillsboro Public Library serves. See you soon!

Hillsboro Community Foundation's match month continues through the end of October, and we invite you to consider partnering with Hillsboro Public Library as we work to build the library's future "one gift at a time." During October, all donations made to the library's HCF fund will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to the generosity of Barkman Honey and the Patterson Family Foundation. These match partners make it possible to double your contributions through the end of the month!

On behalf of the Hillsboro Public Library staff and HPL Board of Trustees, we thank you for your generosity during last week's fundraising events! The Library Luncheon brought in $1,534 to be deposited into the HPL fund at Hillsboro Community Foundation where it will be matched dollar-for-dollar during HCF Match Month. Additional donations have continued to be made to the library's fund in the days following the meal, which will also all be doubled during October. In conjunction with the meal, the Fall Library Sale brought in just over $1,100, which will be used for future purchases and programming at HPL. We are grateful for the community's support of Hillsboro Public Library! Thank you.
