WCC Constitution Day Program⚖️

Wytheville Community College was pleased to welcome Gerald Goad, Carroll County Clerk of Circuit Court and WCC alumnus, as he spoke with students in recognition of Constitution Day.🇺🇸

Goad discussed five constitutional offices, including Clerk of the Circuit Court, Sheriff, Commissioner of the Revenue, Commonwealth’s Attorney, and Treasurer. He shared insights on the importance of the Constitution, civic responsibility, and the role each of us plays in our communities. We’re proud to see WCC alumni giving back and inspiring the next generation!

Last week, it was an honor serving as a judge at Carroll County High School’s 2026 Regional Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Performance Event.

This event recognizes and rewards excellence across a wide range of business and career-related fields. Through competitive events, students gain valuable experience in career exploration, academic growth, and leadership development.

I had the opportunity to judge student presentations on how AI can help businesses, as well as the potenial concerns related to privacy, accuracy, and over-reliance.
