Are you interested in learning more about how you can support your community and your planet with sustainable practices? Maybe you're looking for the chance to give back in some way? Color Westside Green might be the organization for you! Join them at their monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 20th where all are welcome.

This month they will welcome Rachel Scudder of the Genesee/Finger Lakes Climate Smart Communities, who will discuss building sustainable communities. She'll cover accessing funds and grants to improve our community's coping with severe weather changes, as well as saving taxpayer dollars while creating a better environment for our families.

Registration is optional.

The witching hour is upon us and it's almost time to go spooking! Help us get the library ready for the season by making a Halloween luminary! Use the library's crafting supplies to complete your luminary and leave it with us to display during the last month of October! We have an open decorating session on Friday, October 16th from 2-4pm and Monday, October 19th from 3-5pm. All ages are welcome to participate!

EXTRA! EXTRA! Find some gems at the Mainly Books and the Friends of Parma Public Library's semi-annual fall book sale from Thursday October 15th through Saturday, October 17th! A variety of books, DVDs, and puzzles will be available for purchase. Saturday is bag sale day for $5 each! Bring your own grocery-style bags.

New and current Friends of the Library will receive a free book at the sale. Become a Friend for $5 a year!

The Friends book sale is cash only.
