GreyStone Power Corporation (GSP) is a member-owned electric cooperative dedicated to providing our members with the best electric service at the lowest possible rates while serving more than 127,000 residential, commercial and industrial members throughout eight counties west of Atlanta (Bartow, Carroll, Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton and Paulding). The utility operates more than 7,000 miles of power lines and offers natural gas services through a partnership with Gas South. GreyStone also offers members credit union, residential and commercial security, and surge protection services. Facebook DISCUSSION GUIDELINES:
We encourage member comments to GSP posts with a few ground rules in an effort to keep the conversation productive while remaining in the cooperative spirit.
1. Facebook is not monitored 24/7, so a response may not be immediate. The page is monitored continuously weekdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. During a major storm event, periodic updates will be posted.
2. Please DO NOT report electric power outages on this page. Tickets will need to be properly generated for specific locations in order to dispatch crews promptly. All outages should be reported either by calling 1-866-GREYSTONE (473-9786), online at greystonepower.com, by using the GreyStone app, or by texting OUT to 81492. For those members not yet taking advantage of text alerts, send ENROLL to 81492 to sign up. Message and data rates may apply.
3. If you have a member service related issue with your account, our staff will be available to assist you Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. You may also contact them at your convenience at [email protected].
4. For your safety, please do not post your account number, physical address, or any other confidential information on this page. If you wish to alert members about an outage area, please keep the location very general.
5. Profanity, hate speech and personal attacks are prohibited.
6. No solicitation. We view our page as a way to build a community with our membership and welcome interactions and engagement with each of you. In an effort to keep the page focused on the topic at hand, please refrain from overtly promoting a business or product.
7. Please do not post excessive links, inappropriate photos or videos, material that infringes on copyright or spam. Posts that violate any of these guidelines may be removed. When applicable, we will make an attempt to contact you to acknowledge the post removal.
8. Likes by GSP do not constitute an endorsement.
9. While GSP employees may participate in our social media sites, they do not represent the official response or position of GSP.

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is a great time to strengthen your online accounts. One of the easiest steps? Make your passwords longer. A long, unique passphrase can be harder for cybercriminals to crack than a short password packed with special characters. Choose something memorable but difficult for others to guess—and never reuse passwords across multiple accounts.

Out of an abundance of caution due to Hurricane Isaias, GreyStone Power has canceled the 2026 Annual Meeting of Members. The safety of our members and our employees is our top priority. Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency on Oct. 8 to marshal response resources ahead of the storm impacts.

Hurricane Isaias is expected to bring dangerous weather conditions to north Georgia this weekend. A high wind watch is in effect for GreyStone’s service area from Saturday morning through Sunday morning, with frequent gusts of 40 to 50 mph winds. A flood watch is also in effect. A favorable environment for tornadoes will develop across North Georgia, potentially lingering into Sunday morning.

Strong wind gusts and heavy rains can bring down trees and cause power outages. This storm may cause extensive outages in our service area. Please have a plan in place for your family, should you lose power. Now is a good time to get an emergency kit together. Make sure you have a way to receive tornado warnings overnight.

GreyStone members who experience an outage can text OUT to 81492 (message and data rates may apply), call 1-866-GREYSTONE (473-9786) or report it through the GreyStone Power app or greystonepower.com. Crews are on call 24 hours a day to restore power.

Don't forget - this Saturday is our Annual Meeting! The prizes are *just* a little different than the 1950s when we apparently gave out cans of oil, a loose tire, and a roll of aluminum foil. We’ve come a long way over these 90 years of co-op service! 😂

October is National Co-op Month, and this year is extra special at GreyStone Power. ⚡
In 1936, neighbors came together in Douglasville to bring power to rural West Georgia when no one else would. 90 years later, our mission hasn't changed: We’re owned by members like you, and dedicated to Making Life Better in the communities we serve.

10/02/2026

It’s Energy Efficiency Month, and we asked some of our employees about their favorite ways to keep their bills low.
