Big day for our Special Education team! 🎉 The Texas Education Agency trained 20 special education staff members on the ARD process. Two of our own teachers, certified as Crisis Prevention Institute trainers, also trained 35 staff members in crisis prevention. Trained by Kendra Sowell, Hitchcock High School and Denesha Moxey, Crosby Middle School!

Our Special Education staff are officially CPI certified! They're even better equipped to support our students safely, confidently, and proactively.

What does it mean to be a Bulldog to the Core? It means leading with purpose, building meaningful relationships, and making a difference in the lives of our students every single day.

We're kicking off our new Bulldogs to the Core spotlight series by introducing Officer Marianna Gonzalez, one of the newest members of the Hitchcock ISD Police Department!

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize the important contributions of women in law enforcement, we couldn't think of a better person to feature in our very first spotlight.

Officer Gonzalez may be new to Bulldog Nation, but she's already making a lasting impression! From building relationships with our youngest Bulldogs to creating a sense of trust and safety on campus, she's showing what it means to put students first.
