Afternoon update on this morning's main break...

If you are in the area near Hixson High School affected by this morning's break, and will be returning home this evening, be aware you may experience air in your service lines. This is not harmful and your water is safe to drink, bathe in, etc. We recommend running your faucets for a few minutes or until any "sputtering" is complete.

Water service has been restored to the school and surrounding neighborhoods. Please direct any questions you may have concerning tomorrow's school hours to school officials.

🚨 WATER MAIN BREAK 🚨

Good morning. Currently our crews are responding to a water main break on Middle Valley Road, which is affecting Hixson High School and surrounding areas. The break itself is between Kamin Road and Old Hixson Pike. Unfortunately there may be service outages in this area until noon or later today as repairs are being made. Please be cautious driving in this area. If you are affected by this issue, we appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience.

We will post further updates as they become available.

If you were affected by this morning's main break on North Dent Road, your water service should now be restored. Please be aware that you may experience air in your water lines over the next few hours. This is not unusual. HUD recommends opening faucets on all levels of your home and running them for up to 5 minutes, or until flow seems to have returned to normal.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
