Today, we recognize Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day and the many Chambers of Commerce serving Hoboken and communities throughout Hudson County.

Our local Chambers bring business owners together, encourage entrepreneurship, promote economic growth, and help strengthen the neighborhoods we call home.

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. When we shop locally, dine at neighborhood restaurants, hire local professionals, and support family-owned businesses, we help create jobs and keep Hudson County moving forward.

Thank you to all our local Chambers, business owners, entrepreneurs, employees, and community partners for their continued dedication.

🇺🇸 Victory at Yorktown — October 19, 1781

Two hundred forty-five years ago today, British forces surrendered at Yorktown to General George Washington and the allied American and French armies.

The victory ended the last major battle of the American Revolution, dealt a decisive blow to British control and helped secure the independence of the United States of America.

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice and determination of the patriots—and the invaluable assistance of our French allies—who stood together in the cause of liberty.

May we always honor their legacy by protecting the freedom and independence they fought so bravely to achieve.

Here in Hoboken and throughout Hudson County, we are proud of our strong Italian-American heritage and the many family-owned restaurants and small businesses that help make our communities special.

Today, the Hudson County Republican Party recognizes World Food Day and the farmers, small businesses, food pantries, volunteers, and community organizations working to ensure that our neighbors have access to nutritious food.

A strong community is one where neighbors look after one another. We encourage everyone to support a local food pantry, contribute to a community food drive, or lend a helping hand to a family in need.

Together, we can fight hunger, nourish our neighbors, and build a stronger Hudson County—one community at a time.

Today, the Hudson County Republican Party proudly recognizes two meaningful observances that celebrate independence, equality, culture, and community.

🦯 White Cane Safety Day honors the independence, confidence, and achievements of Americans who are blind or visually impaired. The white cane is more than a mobility tool—it is a symbol of freedom, self-reliance, and equal access. We also remind drivers to remain attentive, slow down, and always yield safely to pedestrians using white canes.

🇺🇸 As Hispanic Heritage Month concludes, we celebrate the generations of Hispanic Americans whose faith, family values, hard work, military service, entrepreneurship, and community leadership have strengthened Hudson County and our entire nation.

Although the official month ends today, our appreciation for these contributions continues throughout the year. Strong communities are built when every person has the opportunity to participate, succeed, and pursue the American Dream.

🇺🇸 HONORING PRESIDENT DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER 🇺🇸

Today, on the 136th anniversary of his birth, the Hudson County Republican Party honors Dwight D. Eisenhower—five-star general, Supreme Allied Commander during World War II, and the 34th President of the United States.

From leading Allied forces during one of history’s greatest struggles for freedom to guiding our nation through a pivotal era, President Eisenhower devoted his life to America with courage, wisdom, and steady leadership.

His legacy reminds us that genuine leadership is grounded in service, responsibility, strength, and an unwavering commitment to peace and freedom.

Today, we proudly remember one of America’s greatest military leaders and Republican presidents.

On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress established the force that would become the United States Navy.

For 251 years, generations of courageous sailors have defended our freedom, protected our shores, and answered our nation’s call with honor, courage, and commitment.

The Hudson County Republican Party proudly salutes every active-duty sailor, veteran, reservist, and Navy family. Thank you for your service, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to the United States of America.

May God bless the United States Navy, all who have worn its uniform, and the nation they defend.
