We have a black dog with a white patch on his chest that's been hanging around the South Townline Road - Hodgdon and Linneus. They haven't been able to get close enough to see if it's a male or female but it's very very thin and scared. They are putting out food so it can at least eat and are going to try to get a picture of it so we can post the picture on here. If you know of anyone missing a dog that matches the description, please contact either myself at 532-6498 or 538-6043 or Royce Quint 532-7082.

open on Election Day;
2) Physical or mental disability;
3) Inability to travel to the polls if the voter is a resident of an island ward or

or a treatment facility; or

The Town Office will be closing at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 8th, in order to complete the mandated testing on the new voting machines. We will also be closed on Wednesday, October 21st from 11:30-2:30 to attend election training. We apologize for any incovenience but the State decided to roll out brand new machines a few weeks before a major election that Megan and I have to learn. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

DECEASED CAT NOTIFICATION: a tortoise cat was found deceased on the Walker Road right by the intersection of Benn Hill and Little Road. I was unable to determine if it was a male or female but was told it was a female. She had no collar. I picked her up and put her in a box and will bury her with my other "found" kitties if no one claims her soon. Please share so if a family is missing her, they can have closure!!!

NOTICE OF CHANGE REGARDING
CAMPER TRAILERS

The State of Maine has changed the way excise is charged on camper trailers.

Effective July 29, 2026, excise will no longer be calculated using the MSRP; instead it will be calculated based on the length of the camper trailer.

I recognize that not everyone is going to know the length of the camper trailer so we are trying to notify everyone of this change so that you can determine the length prior to registration.

The Town Office will be open tomorrow, July 3, 2026, from 8-12. However, please keep in mind that state offices are closed and we may be limited in what we can do. If you have any questions, please give me a call before you come down just to make sure you don't waste a trip. Thanks and Megan & I hope that everyone has a great July 4th Holiday and HAPPY 250TH AMERICA!
