Please join us in congratulating Telecommunicator Rachel Furtado, who has been selected as our October Employee of the Month!

Although Rachel is still relatively new to HRECC, she has already made a strong impression and has truly hit the ground running. She approaches her training with focus, takes pride in her work, and consistently shows a willingness to learn and improve.

Rachel is not afraid to take initiative and is always willing to step in and help where she can. She has quickly shown that she is a team player and someone who genuinely wants to contribute to the success of the center. Her positive attitude, work ethic, and commitment to doing the job well have not gone unnoticed.

It is always great to see a newer employee embrace the training process and take ownership of their development, and Rachel has done exactly that. She continues to grow in her role each day and has already proven to be a valuable asset to the HRECC team.

Rachel, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the pride you bring to your training and your work. We are excited to continue watching you grow and are proud to recognize you as our October Employee of the Month!

Congratulations, Rachel!

HOLBROOK — Chief David Del Papa reports that the Holbrook Police Department is seeking the public's help identifying a vehicle of interest as detectives continue to investigate a crash in which a 15-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene earlier this week.

As part of the ongoing investigation, Holbrook Police obtained an image of a vehicle that may have been in the area around the time of the crash. Police are seeking to identify the vehicle and its owner or operator to determine whether they may have information that could assist the investigation.

The vehicle is believed to be an older-model, black BMW 3 Series sedan.

The crash occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the area of 10 North Shore Road. A 15-year-old girl was struck while walking home from a nearby bus stop. She was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

🚒Investing in Safety Through Regional Partnership

Thanks to regional 911 grant funding, the East Bridgewater Fire Department has received new multi-band portable radios that will significantly improve communications for our firefighters.

Reliable communication is one of the most important tools we carry. These radios allow our members to communicate seamlessly with other emergency responders and mutual aid partners, helping ensure a coordinated response when seconds count.

We're thankful for the funding that made this upgrade possible and proud to continue investing in the safety of our firefighters and the community we serve.
