NEC is planning to perform routine and preventative maintenance that will affect over 6,000 accounts in Heber-Overgaard, Aripine, Ricochet Ranch, and the west side of Clay Springs area starting on November 16, 2026, at 10:00:00 PM. Efforts are under way to restore power by November 17, 2026, at 4:00:00 AM.

Although we expect any outages to be intermittent and short in time, please make sure that you plan ahead for any potential outage by following normal emergency preparedness procedures. For example, if you require oxygen or other life-saving measures during that time, please make sure you have a backup battery or other contingencies put in place, open your refrigerator as little as possible, have fuel for any generators, etc. You can find more emergency preparedness tips from the Arizona Emergency Information Network on their page, Twitter, or at ein.az.gov.

FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CREWS: We request that you make sure your generator has been installed/inspected by a qualified electrician. Generators that are installed incorrectly can back feed into our lines even if they are de-energized and could potentially cause serious injury or prove fatal to our crew members. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the outage, please contact us.

Good Morning! Some of you may wake up to the smell of rain, or maybe even the sound of thunder. Showers/storms have already fired up across central/northern AZ, and will continue to form throughout the day. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for our southern zones through tonight.

10/29/2026

A series of Pacific storm systems will tap into more tropical moisture beginning early Friday, with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms moving across the state. Due to saturated soils and previous flooding from last week, a Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Friday. Shower chances will diminish for Saturday, with a more significant storm system possible for late Saturday night through early Monday.
